I am pleased to announce that Sportshoe Center will offer a 10% discount to our military members and their families beginning immediately. Vermont has a strong tradition of defending America and currently has thousands of soldiers and airmen serving around the world in the war on terror. To show our appreciation for their sacrifice and service to us we will offer this discount by presenting military ID at the time of purchase. We request they provide their name and email address so we can stay in touch with them and in September I will announce another initiative that will benefit the troops currently deployed.

We know that Back To School means new shoes for the kids so we are going to have weekly specials in the store to promote different brands and styles of Back To School shoes. Our radio campaign on local stations will begin in August. Come in to the store and have your children properly fit to a pair of Back To School shoes and save with our weekly promotions.

Our American made Free Sock Promotion continues, so come in an buy a pair of shoes and we’ll give you a free pair of socks!

Since 2002 we have had the privilege of working with Jason McAllister of Montpelier, Vermont. Jason initially was our store manager in Barre and later transferred to our South Burlington location to lead the Rx Program working with podiatrists, therapists and other health care professionals explaining current footwear technology and trends. Jason has taken advantage of a great opportunity in a different career path and left us with a great foundation of returning customers whom we will service with the same care and understanding.
